Welcome to Kindergarten!

Hi there! My name is Tiersa Ellis, and I’m so excited to be your child’s kindergarten teacher this year! This is my eleventh year teaching kindergarten, and I truly believe it's one of the most magical times in a child’s educational journey.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Phoenix, and over the years, I've had the pleasure of teaching in Houston Independent School District. This year is especially exciting for me; it’s my very first year with Fort Bend and at Oyster Creek Elementary, and I’m thrilled to be joining such a wonderful school community!

A little about me: I’m originally from Houston, Texas, but I’ve also lived in Phoenix, Arizona, and Omaha, Nebraska. My family means the world to me. I have an amazing husband and a sweet daughter who keeps life fun and full. Outside the classroom, I love to read, spend quality time with my family during game nights, and enjoy a good shopping trip now and then.

I’m looking forward to an incredible year of learning, growth, and fun. I can’t wait to get to know you and your child better as we embark on this kindergarten adventure together!
