Mrs. Stephanie Yang

I grew up in Sugar Land and graduated from Kempner High School before studying business at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. After a few years in marketing for a clothing company in New York, I decided to pursue teaching to make a more direct impact on students’ lives. I earned a Master’s in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from Teachers College, Columbia University.

I then taught middle school English for four years at a small international school in Taiwan, followed by two years teaching 9th grade English at a larger international school in Seoul, South Korea. After taking a year off following the birth of my first child, I transitioned into a writing, editing, and marketing role for the school so I could work from home.

My family moved back to Sugar Land in the summer of 2019, and when I was offered a teaching position at Clements, I was excited to return to the classroom. Having grown up in the area, I knew I couldn’t pass up the chance to teach such talented students at CHS!

Besides teaching English II AAC, I am also a co-sponsor of National Honor Society and a co-COGS (Champion of Gifted Services).
