Welcome to Resource for Kindergarten to 2nd Grade.  I am Mrs. Baker and will be teaching your child this year. 

I am certified to teach Early Childhood-6th grade, with Certifications in Special Education and in English Language Learning. I graduated from University of Houston Downtown, summa cum laude, with a Bachelor’s in Science in Psychology. I did my Post-Baccalaureate in Early Childhood Education at Stephen Foster Austin State University (30 hours) and I am working on my Master's Degree in Special Education as a Diagnostician at Lamar University, Go Cardinals!

My passions are my family, church, learning and teaching. I am on a life-long  journey with my Autistic, Speech-Impaired and Cognitively Impaired 25-year-old son. He is who he is because of the wonderful teachers who loved and supported him on his academic journey. He has served a 2-year Church mission, and is now completing  a Pilot Program for 18 months, learning to be a fork lift driver. 

I have 3 grandchildren at Dulles High School; a senior, a junior and a freshman. The same school their parents attended. Go Vikings!

I have taught Montessori and Traditional Anglican Education at Medical Center Charter School with Kindergarten for 2 years. This will be my 6th year teaching. Lantern Lane is my second home.  This will be my 4th year at LLE.
