Hello good people! My name is Dante Baines, a Houston native, and a lover of all music genres! If I had to choose one genre of music as my favorite, it would be R&B. I'm also a car detailer and enjoy any activity where I'm outside getting some fresh air! Some of these activities include playing tennis, running, strength training, and boxing. I also graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor's of Science in Criminal Justice. I worked for CPS after graduating for a brief period of time because of my love for protecting the well-being and safety of children. Moreover, I wanted to make a more substantial impact with children and the best next choice was becoming a teacher. That led me to enroll at the University of Houston's alternative certification program for teachers. This is my second year teaching at Lantern Lane Elementary, and I'm very excited to make a positive impact on my students and inspire them to always be respectful, hardworking, and trustworthy individuals!
