I am thrilled to be at Sugar Mill Elementary and teaching third grade math and science!!  This is my 20th year teaching at Sugar Mill. I was a long-time first grade teacher, and this is my eighth year in 3rd grade.  I love the challenge of teaching these young minds!  

I am originally from Port Lavaca, Texas but have lived in Sugar Land for over 30 years. I have been married to my husband, Larry, for 33 years, and I have 2 children who make us proud every day!  Both of my children are former Sugar Mill Sparklers and graduates of Kempner High School.  My son, Jacob, is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and is employed by UT as an advisor in the College of Natural Science.  My daughter, Miranda, is a graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station. She works with the North Texas Food Bank in Plano, Texas doing what she loves--helping bring awareness to food insecurity!  Although we are now empty nesters, my husband and I still have 2 "babies" at home--our adorable rescue dogs, Thor and Lucy! 

I absolutely love teaching and can't wait to have a fabulous year with my students!!
