Hello, my name is Kevin Pruitt.  This is my 18th year in education;  it is my 6th year at Sugar Mill Elementary.  Before I came to Sugar Mill, I had only taught middle school and high school.  Now that I am an elementary teacher, I wish I had made that move earlier. I love teaching elementary students, and I love my Sugar Mill family.  

I am originally from Mount Airy, NC, the town on which the Andy Griffith Show was based and the hometown of Andy Griffith.  I received my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC in 1998.  Upon graduation, I taught ESL in Dalian, China for two years where I met my wife. When I finished my time in China, I came back to my hometown.  I taught there for three years, when my wife and I discovered that we were going to be parents.  In order to provide a better life for our son, we decided to move to Sugar Land in 2007.  He is now 11 years old and still our only child.
