Welcome to the Blue Ridge Library!

   I am Roslyn Underwood, the Librarian at Blue Ridge Elementary.  Having come from a family of educators, I always knew I wanted to teach.  So after working in the private sector for several years, I made a career change to education.

   I have been an elementary librarian for 9 years here in Fort Bend ISD, Houston ISD, and Aldine ISD.  Prior to this, I taught middle school Home Economics for 14 years at Christa McAuliffe Middle School.  I love reading, traveling the East and West Coast, and visiting with friends and family.

   I want to encourage our students and faculty to utilize the various library resources to meet their academic needs and to provide an avenue for recreational reading. The intent is to develop skills that will encourage the students to be life-long learners.
