Hello Leopard Families!

My name is Ms. Padilla and I will be teaching 5th Grade ELAR and Social Studies. I have recently completed my Teacher Residency at Neill Elementary and am so excited to be joining the amazing Leopard Family here at Malala Elementary! (Fun Fact: I am a product of FBISD, being a graduate from Stephen F. Austin High School. GO BULLDOGS!)

I am a graduate of the University of Houston (GO COOGS!), having received my Bachelor of Science in Teaching and Learning. My goal is to cultivate a positive, supportive, safe, and growth mindset-centered community in my classroom. I strive to work towards making sure that my students are able to take ownership of their own learning and academic/personal progress, as well as having the skills to work collaboratively and independently. I hope to help students become proud of the small and big progresses they make everyday, and to not be afraid of failure as that's what I believe helps us continue growing and learning!

When I'm not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my friends, family, and our little gremlin corgi, Milo! I also enjoy listening to music, playing video games, working out/participating in different sports (Swimming, pickleball, and frisbee), and watching movies.

I cannot wait to L.E.A.P into an amazing school year working, growing, and learning together with our Leopard Families!
