Hello and welcome to the 2025-2026 school year! I am so excited to be part of the Malala Elementary community. It is an honor to teach reading, writing, and social studies to your child this year. I have taught a variety of grade levels, but 5th grade is my absolute favorite! I am passionate about preparing my 5th graders for success in secondary school and beyond.

I am originally from the Dallas area, but I have also lived in Lubbock and now Sugar Land. I attended Texas Tech University where I studied Human Sciences in Education. During my time at TTU I had the opportunity to work with students in a wide variety of educational settings and contents. I am grateful to have the opportunity to apply the teaching practices and knowledge I have gained over the years with my students.

When I am not teaching, I love to curl up with my cats (Chester and Cashew) and get lost in a good book! I also love to be outdoors-swimming, rollerblading, yoga, you name it!

I can't wait to foster a life-long love of reading and sense of curiosity about the world with my students. Let's L.E.A.P. into a great year!
