• What is the AVID elective class at Baines Middle School?

    ~ The AVID elective is offered to 7th and 8th graders, which offers students study skills, organizational tools, academic support, social/emotional mentorship, grade checks, and a school family environment.

     

    What characteristics do AVID students have?

    • Strong academic potential but could benefit from additional support
    • Motivation to improve academically
    • Willingness to work hard and commit to success
    • Desire to attend college and pursue future career opportunities

    How Do I Apply?

    Applications for the 2026-2027 school year will be open in January 2026!  Students who are interested in starting a path that will better prepare them to achieve their college dreams should complete the online application. The deadline to apply is will be posted once it is determined.
