Nancy Hummel, Principal
I am honored to be a part of Oakland’s exemplary campus and community! My leadership vision aligns with FBISD and is also "dedicated to providing the highest level of educational commitment to our students, families, and one another, with a sense of warmth, friendliness, individual pride and school spirit." As the campus principal, my mission is uncompromising and extends beyond this statement to include that all students can learn, given a positive learning atmosphere that welcomes exploration and enhances student confidence. All parents dream that their children will be happy and successful. As a school that serves them, we share equally in that dream and have a plan in place for making it a reality! It is my hope that our vision will truly have a positive impact on student success, student confidence, and will inspire and equip them for futures beyond what they can imagine!
I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Business Management from Sam Houston State University. Go Bearcats! Discovering a true passion for education, I returned to school to obtain my teaching certificate from Houston Baptist University. I later earned my Master of Science Degree in Educational Administration and Principal Certification from the University of Houston, Clear Lake. Representing FBISD, I continued my education at Rice University and graduated from the Rice Education Entrepreneurship Program.
My teaching background encompasses both private and public school sectors in elementary education. I have been proud to be an administrator in Fort Bend ISD since 2007, serving Title, Non-Title, and Bilingual campuses. I am dedicated to our goal of providing the highest level of educational commitment to our students, families, and staff. I am extremely proud to be a member of the Wildcat Family!
“Be the change you wish to see in the world.”

Tonichia Williams-Jackson, Assistant Principal
Wildcat Students and Parents,
I am honored and excited to serve as an Assistant Principal at Oakland Elementary! With 19 years of experience in Fort Bend ISD—15 of those right here at Oakland! I am deeply connected to both this campus and our district. As a proud FBISD graduate and parent of children who also attend Fort Bend schools, I bring both professional and personal investment in the success of every Oakland Elementary student.
My commitment is to ensure that each student feels welcomed, safe, and inspired to come to school each day. As your Assistant Principal, my goal is to create frequent opportunities for students to experience progress and success by celebrating their growth and nurturing them as lifelong learners.
I am grateful for the opportunity to support our students, teachers, and families. Collaboration is at the heart of everything I do, and I believe that by working together, we can ensure both the social and academic success of all students at Oakland. Please know my door is always open. I welcome your questions, ideas, and concerns.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. expressed it best: “The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character, that is the goal of true education.”
Thank you for allowing me to serve this incredible community.
With Wildcat Pride,
Mrs. Jackson
