Welcome to Music 1 at Oakland!

Hello, Wildcat Families!  I'm pleased to be your child's Music 1 teacher this year.  I have taught preschool music, K-5 music, 5-8 music and private horn lessons in Texas and Virginia for over two decades. I have also performed as an instrumentalist in Virginia, Louisiana and Texas throughout my career. It is a privilege and joy to teach your children music! 

My hobbies include being an author, speaker and podcaster on self-care for music educators.  I have also presented at various music education conferences at the state and national level, including TMEA and OAKE.
