Welcome to Physical Education at Oakland!

Hello, Oakland Elementary Families!  I’m excited to be your child’s Physical Education teacher this year. This will be my 15th year as a teacher. I have taught all grade levels PreK-12th grade in Physical Education. I have also taught 5th grade and 1st grade in the classroom.

My hobbies include reading, running, cycling, swimming, and spending time with my husband and two children. We love exploring nature trails, outdoor parks and playgrounds in the area.

I have won multiple PE and health grants in Houston ISD and Katy ISD. I have also written PE and health curriculum in Houston ISD and Katy ISD and have been a part of TAHPERD (our Texas State PE organization) for 12 years. I have presented at the district and state level multiple times. I even served on the Board of Directors for TAHPERD for 3 years.

I absolutely LOVE teaching elementary physical education. I love to get kids moving and get them excited about being healthy!
