This network comprises a group of dedicated students from each of the 12 high schools in FBISD. Membership is considered an honor within the District as students will bring their own thoughts and insights directly to the Superintendent, Board of Trustees and other FBISD leaders. VOICES is also responsible for planning and implementing the District-wide High School Diversity Conference each year. Students meet monthly during the school day to plan for the Student VOICES Summit and to discuss relevant topics that may contribute to or drive district initiatives and programming.

Three students will be selected to represent each campus and are eligible to apply during their Freshman, Sophomore and Junior years. Students will serve a one-year term and may be eligible to apply for the following year. This is a full school year commitment and attendance is mandatory at all meetings. Upon failure to attend two meetings, students will be replaced by the next qualified candidate from their school. 

Eligibility Requirements  

Qualified candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Students have no less than 90% attendance
• Students have earned 75% or higher in all classes or 70% or higher in all Pre-AP, AP, and Dual Credit courses.
• Students' Discipline Records must be of good citizenship with no serious or ongoing discipline infractions within the last Fall semester and prior school year.

Application closes Sunday, February 11th. Applicants will be notified via their FBISD Student Email regarding the acceptance into the VOICES Cohort the week of February 22nd. The first 2024 - 2025 VOICES Cohort meeting will be Thursday, February 29, 2024.
