Felipa Briceno

Associate Principal

Greetings! My name is Felipa Briceno, and I am honored to serve as the Associate Principal at Ridgemont Early Literacy Center. With over 21 years in education, I am passionate about supporting students, families, and staff in creating a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child can thrive.

Before joining the Ridgemont family, I spent 11 years as a bilingual teacher, followed by roles as a teacher specialist and assistant principal in Houston ISD. Most recently, I served as the Assistant Principal at Townewest Elementary here in Fort Bend ISD for seven years. Each role has strengthened my belief in the power of early learning and the importance of strong, collaborative school communities. I’m excited to bring that experience to Ridgemont and continue building a culture of excellence and care.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Spalding University in Kentucky, and two Master’s degrees—one in Education and one in Business Administration—from the University of St. Thomas. As a proud graduate of UST, I value the strong foundation it provided me, blending instructional leadership with a strategic mindset to support both students and staff.

I am a proud wife of a Fort Bend ISD principal and the mother of two wonderful children who both attend schools in the Fort Bend ISD.  Originally from the beautiful country of Belize, I bring with me a deep appreciation for community, connection, and the life-changing power of education. As both an educator and a parent in the district, I am committed to the success of every student and truly understand the importance of strong school-home partnerships.

I look forward to working closely with our families to make this school year a joyful and successful one. Please feel free to reach out—I'm here to serve and support you!
