• The community is invited to attend the FBISD Board of Trustees Listening Tour. 

    This event will provide the community with an opportunity to engage with board members and district leaders at roundtable discussions.

    Topics include:

    • Boundary Planning
    • Financial Outlook (Budget, Salaries and Benefits)
    • Bond Updates and Facilities
    • Special Programs and Student Services

    Sign-Up to Speak: All public questions and comments must be turned in before the meeting begins. Questions may only be submitted in person during registration. 

    Speaker Sign-Up Process

    • Guests enter through the student parking lot doors.
    • Signage at the entrance that states “Listening Tour Guests Check In →”
    • At the check-in table
      • All guests will sign in.
      • Guests who desire to ask a question or share a comment will be able to fill out a questionnaire card and leave it with the assigned table representative.NOTE: If guests have more than one question, they are asked to prioritize their submission and report to that table first. We cannot guarantee a time when the questions will be posed. 
      • Questions will be addressed on a first-come, first-served basis. The questions will be answered in the order they were received and based on the time allotted for questions. Some questions may be grouped to allow for more responses in the allotted time. Guests whose questions were unanswered due to time restrictions will receive a response by email from the respective department.” 

    The listening tour begins at 5 p.m., and Board President Tassin will give instructions. 

    Student entertainment and artwork will be showcased, and light refreshments will be served.
