A LITTLE ABOUT US:
Mrs. Grubbs: I have been teaching for over 30 years. I have taught in Louisiana and North Carolina. The past 19 years have been here at BPE. I started out in third grade and moved up to 4th grade 9 years ago. I am originally from Louisiana. I graduated from McNeese University in Lake Charles and UL in Lafayette. In my free time I like to read, practice yoga, and spend time with family. I love animals and currently have 3 cats. My daughter is a product of FBISD. She attended BPE and is a 2015 graduate of Kempner High School.
Mrs. Johnson: This is my 16th year teaching 4th grade at BPE. 4th grade is the best! I started here as the clinic aide and resident sub. I grew up in Sugar Land and attended Fort Bend schools. I graduated from Houston Baptist University for my undergrad and University of Houston Victoria for my graduate. My family includes my husband who is a computer programmer and my two boys who attend BPE. I enjoy spending time with my family and reading.
Ms. Lin: It’s my first year at BPE, yet it will be my second-year teaching 4th grade - so safe to say that I love the big kids. I have been in Sugar Land since I have been born and I am a product of FBISD. I graduated from Houston Baptist University and Harvard right after. During my free time, you can find me relaxing, hanging out with my friends and family, play with my dog, going to K-pop concerts, watching dramas, and traveling to find new food locations.
SUPPLIES for 4th Graders at BPE
Note: We will collect the notebook paper, tissues, and hand sanitizer to use as a class. Everything else is your child’s personal supplies.
We will have a snack time daily in the morning- you may send a healthy snack with your child- no chips, candy, chocolate, or nuts.
Also send a water bottle (that seals) daily with your child. We do have water refill stations by our classrooms.
Lunch and Recess
Recess: Please have your child wear appropriate clothes and shoes – it will be HOT!
Lunch: Parents may eat lunch with their children starting Monday 8/26. We please ask that you do not use cell phones while at lunch.
Dismissal:
Student safety is very important to us. Making sure that students are dismissed properly at the end of the day is paramount.
You must let us know in writing if your child’s dismissal changes either via note or email. Call the front office for last minute changes: 281-634-4040.
We are looking forward to a fabulous year!
