  • Fort Bend ISD is a nationally recognized school district of choice for Texas families of more than 80,000 students in grades PreK-12 across 82 campuses – 11 high schools, 15 middle schools, 51 elementary campuses and five specialty schools to address the academic and vocational interests of students. As one of the most diverse school districts in the nation, our students represent countries from around the world and speak more than 90 different languages and dialects.

    Our students continue to be recognized as Presidential Scholars, National Merit Scholar Finalists and Semifinalists, and outperform their peers across the state in college readiness indicators, such as the PSAT, SAT and ACT.

  • Early Childhood

    The FBISD Early Childhood Department provides programmatic structure and ongoing support to teachers, administrators, parents, and the community at large, on the implementation of best practices in early childhood education. FBISD's early childhood programs exist to provide children with a solid physical, cognitive, social-emotional, and linguistic foundation. Early childhood educational experiences influence children's lives, preparing them for futures beyond what they can imagine.


    Pre Kindergarten

    Fort Bend ISD is excited to provide the full-day PreK experience for four-year-olds! The prekindergarten program is now available in 25 schools across the district. At the elementary level, Fort Bend ISD offers an Early Literacy Center and Early Intervention Academy to support early learners and students in K-1.

Programs of Choice


  • FBISD offers innovative programming options to support students at all school levels. At the high school level, the District offers several programs of choice, including an Early College High School and two Pathways in Technology programs.  The programs provide a blend of high school and college coursework that give students an opportunity to earn up to 60 hours or two years of tuition-free college credit or an associate’s degree while earning their high school diploma.

    The Early College High School (ECHS) model is a blend of high school and college coursework that gives students the opportunity to earn up to 60 hours, or two years, of tuition-free college credit while earning a high school diploma.

    The Pathways in Technology Early College High School (P-TECH) model is designed to ensure that high school curriculum focuses on workforce needs and partnerships that support students in obtaining credentials, degrees and certificates.

Career and Technical Education

    FBISD Career and Technical Education

    Fort Bend ISD Career and Technical Education (CTE) provides challenging career pathways for all students utilizing real world practices and evolving skill sets, attitudes, and behaviors.

    Students starting in middle school have the opportunity to explore a variety of careers from engineering and culinary arts to health science and law enforcement. Alongside the students' coursework, they are exposed to real-world experiences such as guest speakers, job shadowing, internships, and more.

    James Reese Career and Technical Center

    At James Reese Career and Technical Center, students from all eleven FBISD high schools have access to advanced CTE programming in multiple pathways. Students have the opportunity to earn industry certifications and dual credit in some program areas while completing coursework at the facility.

  • Student Recruitment

    Fort Bend ISD has entered into a partnership with Caissa Public Strategy to conduct student recruitment for FBISD. Their primary mission will be to recruit students who have left FBISD for charter schools.  Their efforts will include direct phone calls, grassroots canvassing field teams and other direct communications with parents of current, previous and potential students.

Extended Day Program

  • The Extended Day Program, which includes before and after school care for students, serves grades K-5. Extended Day provides a supportive climate and safe environment for children to flourish while fulfilling the District's mission.

Student Support Services

  • The Fort Bend ISD Department of Student Support Services provides leadership in the programs and services which support the academic and emotional development of all students. Our greatest potential for success lies in our cooperative and collaborative efforts with other departments, campuses, parents, students, and community organizations to meet the individual needs of all students.

Fine Arts

  • The FBISD Department of Fine Arts seeks to provide for all students a high quality fine arts education that supports their academic, social, emotional, and creative development. This goal is achieved through a comprehensive performing and visual arts curriculum that provides a wide-range of learning experiences and performance opportunities. Courses are offered in elementary music and art, as well as secondary courses in art, band, choir, orchestra, dance, and theatre.

    New Programs

    In January 2020, the FBISD Board of Trustees approved a Fine Arts Piano Technician Certification Program, the first of its kind in any high school in the nation! The program will be available to students in fall 2020 and will give students an opportunity to develop the necessary skills to work as a professional piano tuner or piano technician upon graduation.

Athletics

  • Fort Bend ISD AthleticsFBISD Athletics exists to inspire and equip student athletes with responsibility, values, sportsmanship and teamwork through participation in sports so they can pursue futures beyond what they can imagine. FBISD competes as a full member of the University Interscholastic League (UIL). Each year, many FBISD athletes compete for championships, excel in the classroom and sign college scholarships to continue their academic and athletic careers.

Multilingual Program

  • The FBISD Multilingual Program ensures excellence in service by partnering to equip and empower Language Learner students by providing equitable access to all educational opportunities.

    Our District’s efforts to address the needs of the whole child has earned us several national and state awards, including being named the Best Large School District in the state in the 2018 H-E-B Excellence in Education award program. In 2017, FBISD won three H-E-B Excellence in Education awards, including for Best School Board, Best School Principal Secondary and Rising Star Secondary for the large district category.

    For the 14th consecutive year, Fort Bend ISD has received the Best Communities for Music Education distinction from The National Association of Music Merchants Foundation for demonstrating exceptional commitment to providing music access and education to all students.
