Dr. Deanna Eiland-Miller has over 23 years of experience in education.  She started her career in education as an English teacher and basketball/softball/track coach.  Dr. Eiland worked in the DFW area for 13 years before relocating to Houston in 2013 to pursue her Doctoral degree at the University of Houston. Dr. Eiland began her journey in FBISD as an English/Department Head at Elkins High School.  She served in that role for a year and a half before being promoted to an assistant principal position at Bush High School.  After leaving Bush High School, she has served as an assistant principal at Lake Olympia Middle School and most recently Elkins High School.  She joins our Dulles High School family with over 10 years of experience in FBISD.  She received her Bachelor of Science in Education degree in Secondary Education from New Mexico State University, her Master of Education Curriculum and Instruction and her Master of Educational Leadership degrees from Dallas Baptist University.  She has a son and a daughter (both are grown), a grandson, and two rescue Chihuahuas.  She enjoys traveling, spending time on her boat and fishing in her spare time.  Dr. Eiland really enjoys her role as a servant leader and loves working daily with staff and students.  She believes in the importance of building relationships and works daily to build positive school culture.  She is looking forward to an amazing year here at Dulles High School.
