Fort Bend ISD Board of Trustees adopts legislative priorities for the Texas 87th Legislative Session
In the Fort Bend ISD Board of Trustee’s continued efforts to protect the future of Texas public education, the Board unanimously approved and adopted two legislative resolutions at the October 19, 2020, Regular Board Meeting. These resolutions were adopted ahead of the Texas 87th Legislative Session, which begins on January 12, 2021 and will address a number of issues that will affect FBISD and districts across the state.

These resolutions further help to reinforce FBISD’s Core Beliefs and Commitments, Mission, Vision, District Goals and Priorities, and the Profile of a Graduate, which have all been approved by the Board and define all decision-making efforts in order to benefit each child in Fort Bend ISD.Be a Voice for our Students and Teachers

Texas Schools Alliance
Fort Bend ISD is proud to be part of the Texas Schools Alliance (TSA), which is made up of 42 of the largest school districts in Texas. This is a superintendent-led organization that utilizes a thorough process to research and consider significant policy issues. Topics range from school finance to teaching and learning to assessment and accountability. The TSA also studies specific topics and works on issues to improve educational quality for Texas students, particularly those in large and urban districts.
