A citizen of the Dulles community since 2002, I began as a parent volunteer and segued into the roles of substitute teacher, library aide, Registrar, third grade ELA and Social Studies teacher, second grade teacher, and fourth grade teacher.

I have a BA in Theater and Cinematic Arts from Brigham Young University and received my educator certification through ACT*Houston in 2013.

Prior to my employment in public education I worked as a Young Adult author, editor and copy editor for a small digital publishing company. Before moving into publishing I was employed as a children's librarian in Bryan, Texas, and library/media center coordinator at Jerebek Elementary in San Diego, California.

I am an alumni of the FBISD Arts Integration Network and love to "teach with drama". My favorite subject is Social Studies - the study of how we collaborate, cooperate and come together in our local and global communities.
