Hi! I’m Ms. Capuyan, and I’m so excited to be teaching 3-5 Math Resource at Dulles Elementary this year. Teaching has always been a passion of mine, and I feel incredibly lucky to spend my days helping students learn, grow, and discover their potential.

I have been teaching for 16 years, and in that time I’ve come to truly value the relationships built in the classroom. I earned my degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Educational Psychology from The University of Texas in Austin (Hook 'Em!), and received my educator certification through ACT* Houston in 2009. I’m always looking for new ways to make learning meaningful, engaging, and fun for my students.

When I’m not in the classroom, you can usually find me spending time with my sons, working out, doing arts & crafts, or reading. I love bringing creativity and energy into everything I do, and I try to create a classroom environment where every student feels seen, heard, and supported.

I’m looking forward to an amazing year and can’t wait to get to know each of my students and their families.
