Brazos Bend Elementary

My name is Aurelia Guzman, and I’m excited to introduce myself as your new school counselor here at Brazos Bend Elementary. This will be my 14th year in education! Before stepping into the role of school counselor, I taught both first and third grade in HISD.

I earned my degree in Social Work from Texas A&M University Kingsville and later completed my master's in professional school counseling at Lamar University. I’m passionate about supporting children in different capacities. This past summer, I had the opportunity to work with families at the Ronald McDonald House of Charities in Houston. Outside of school, I love watching movies, funny shows and spending time with my boyfriend and our two doggies, Bernie and Pancake.
