Dr. Felicia Bolden

Greetings,

I am excited to serve as the principal of Brazos Bend Elementary. I have 26 years of experience in education at the elementary, intermediate, and middle school levels, as well as higher education.  I have served as a 3rd, 4th, and 8th grade teacher, team leader, science specialist, technology specialist, assistant principal, principal, and adjunct instructor for undergraduate and graduate programs. I currently hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education with a computer literacy certificate, a Master’s degree in administration and supervision, and a Doctoral Degree in teacher leadership. I attended the University of Southwest Louisiana and Walden University for my graduate programs, and have always had a passion for education and working with students. My interests are blended learning, reading, research, presenting, student ownership of learning, small group instruction, and differentiated strategies. I truly believe a quality education for all students is the key to success. I vow to work hand in hand with all stakeholders to fulfill the mission and vision of our school community, and look forward to a positive and productive school year.

Greetings,

I’m truly excited to be part of the Brazos Bend Elementary team! It’s an honor to serve such a dedicated group of students, families, and staff, and I’m looking forward to a great year ahead.
I’ve been in education for 14 years, working in both elementary and middle school settings. Over the years, I’ve had the chance to wear many hats—starting as a middle school math teacher, then moving into roles as a teacher development specialist, a math specialist, and most recently, a district-level coordinator. Each of these roles has shaped who I am as an educator and deepened my commitment to supporting teachers and helping all students succeed.

I grew up overseas and later moved to Houston, where I graduated from the University of Houston (Go Coogs!). I also earned graduate degree from University of Houston and Grand Canyon University.
Outside of school, I love spending time with my husband, Raymond, and our two boys, Jonathan and Joseph. We’re always up for a good adventure — whether that’s traveling, biking, hiking, swimming or just enjoying a quiet evening together.

I can’t wait to get to know the BBE community and work together to make this a great school year!
