I grew up in Houston, TX, and proudly call this amazing city my home. This year marks my 27th year as an educator, and I’m thrilled to be teaching at Settlers Way Elementary! For 17 of those years, I’ve specialized as a Reading/Dyslexia specialist, helping students unlock their potential in reading. My passion for teaching stems from my love of supporting others and helping them achieve their goals. Beyond the classroom, I’ve dedicated over 30 years to volunteering with animal rescue, giving those a voice that cannot speak up for themselves. I’m also deeply committed to mentoring children, having participated in mentoring programs at every school district where I’ve worked as an educator.
