Houston born and raised, I graduated from St. Agnes Academy in 1996, attended Austin College in Sherman, TX from 1996-2002, where I earned my BA in English Literature and my MAT specializing in elementary education.  I have worked in the field of education for 24 years as an elementary school educator, and as a private math tutor, teaching up through 10th grade geometry.  I have taught all core subjects and theater arts, but most of my career has been devoted to teaching math and science.  Before coming to FBISD, I spent 17 years teaching in Houston ISD, 4 years in a private Episcopal school, and two years as a public school substitute in North Texas.  My internship was at Princeton Intermediate School from 2001-02.  My hobbies include: consuming media (movies and television, music, and plays), sewing, alternative fashion, and buying/selling vintage items.
