Antebellum Reformers Recruiting Fair
Research Guide
Purpose: To learn about the variety of reform movements which were popular and which helped to change the U.S. in the antebellum (pre-Civil War) years, roughly 1830-1850, and to teach each other.
What will be done: Each group of THREE will do outside research on a reform movement and some influential reformers of the movement. Much like a career or college fair, this will be an antebellum reformers recruiting fair. Recruiters will set up a “booth” and classmates will walk about the room to look, listen and decide what reform movement they might be interested in participating in.Use the following databases to conduct your research.
