Mrs. Cadesa, Martha

.

My journey in education began over eleven years ago, and it has been both rewarding and transformative. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of serving in a variety of roles, including teacher assistant, classroom teacher, teacher specialist, and assistant principal. Each position has deepened my commitment to supporting all students and provided me with valuable insights into the diverse needs within our school communities.

I have dedicated much of my work to serving students from low socio-economic backgrounds, English Language Learners, and students receiving special education services. These experiences have shaped my belief in the power of equity, advocacy, and culturally responsive teaching.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Houston, which has equipped me with a strong foundation in understanding student behavior, development, and motivation. This academic background, combined with years of practical experience, has guided my approach to student success both academically and socially.

This year, I am honored to serve as the Bilingual Specialist at Armstrong. In this role, my goal is to ensure that every student reaches their maximum potential and continues to grow not only academically but also socially and emotionally. I am passionate about creating inclusive environments where all learners feel seen, supported, and empowered.

Outside of work, I enjoy running, traveling, and spending quality time with my family.

I’m proud to be a part of Armstrong’s team and look forward to a year of growth, collaboration, and student achievement!
