Hello!

I was born and raised right here in Houston, Texas and grew up in Missouri City. I'm a proud graduate of Willowridge High School (I won't say the year-that might give away my age).

After high school, I began my journey to become an educator at Houston Community College. I later transferred to the University of Houston, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies.

Shortly after graduating, I began my teaching career at Lake Olympia Middle School as an 8th grade ELA interventionist. A few years later, I transitioned to Ronald Thornton Middle School, where I currently serve as an ESL(English as a Second Language) teacher for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students.

I wouldn't trade this job for the world. I love finding ways to make learning fun, meaningful, and engaging. Building strong relationships with my students is a superpower - I'm known as the "school mom" to many of them.

In my classroom, failure is not an option. You will work hard. No excuses. No exceptions.

A little bit about me:

I have two wonderful children and an amazing husband.

I love the outdoors, sports, traveling, binge-watching TV, shopping and spending time with family!

My favorite candy: M&M with Almonds

My favorite sport is basketball(I can shoot a mean 3-pointer).

My favorite foods are: pizza, seafood, and wings.

My favorite hobbies are gardening and taking walks in the park.

I am available through talking points. If you are not aware of talking points, I will send out information and invites the first and second week of school. This allows me to communicate with parents in their native language.  This is how we will communicate about your child's needs and academic success.
