Hello Bullfrogs and Parents - Welcome to the 2025-26 School Year!

I am so thrilled to be teaching 3rd grade this year, which marks my 23rd year here at BBE!  During that time, I have been fortunate enough to teach various grade levels, including 2nd grade and 4th grade for many years, which will help me and my students to be even more successful in 3rd grade. I know both where they came from and where they are headed next. I am looking forward to meeting my new students and working in partnership with your family. I will be teaching ELAR (Reading and Language) and Social Studies, and partnering with my longtime colleague, Ms. Morgan, who will teach the Math and Science block.

I currently live in Houston but grew up in Youngstown, Ohio, where I attended Youngstown State University (go Penguins!). I raised my family in New Territory and my children, Megan and Reed, were once Brazos Bend Bullfrogs! I then received my Masters in Educational Administration from Lamar University and am proud to say I love being a lifelong learner! 

Prior to working at BBE, I was a parent volunteer here and a room mom for my own kids. My daughter now lives in California, and my son lives in Houston. I enjoy spending time with them and I am so lucky to be their mom and watch them thrive as adults!  I also have a 10-year-old, 75-pound Labradoodle, Winnie, who keeps me active and is truly the sweetest dog I could ask for!

I am ready to continue learning and growing in my new grade level, and I am looking forward to the best school year yet, working together with you and your family!
