Stephanie Woodard, Principal
stephanie.woodard@fortbendisd.govI am honored to serve as the founding principal of Ferndell Henry Elementary School. My educational journey began in Fort Bend ISD, and I later graduated from Dillard University with a degree in Mass Communications. Although I initially aspired to a career in public relations and marketing, I felt a strong calling to follow in the footsteps of many family members and become an educator. I started my career teaching middle school and have been dedicated to education since then. With over 20 years of experience in education, I have gained valuable insights as a teacher, content specialist, professional development leader, and assistant principal. I commit to lead Henry Herd with humility, utilizing the knowledge and skills I have acquired throughout my journey to create an enriching and supportive environment for our students.
I believe that schools hold a distinctive opportunity to foster the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development of every student. This can be achieved through meaningful instruction aligned with content standards, fostering positive interactions within the school community, and establishing high expectations for both learning and behavior. Our school's namesake, Mr. Ferndell Henry, was a dedicated, dynamic educator in Fort Bend ISD for nearly 40 years. I will honor his legacy by nurturing a campus culture that prioritizes enthusiasm for learning and the holistic development of each child.
Our Ram mascot symbolizes strength and determination—attributes that I aspire to embody and promote in others. As a wife and mother of two, I know how important it is to be surrounded by a community committed to nurturing children with compassion and excellence. I am delighted to embark on this journey with our new Ferndell Henry families and community as we build traditions, show courage, and get RAM-ped up for a great year!
