Hello! My name is Erin Weber, and I teach 7th-grade English Language Arts. 

I have four children, two of whom are in college and two in high school. All four have attended or are enrolled in FBISD. In my dual role as a mother and teacher, I am uniquely positioned to better empathize with the needs of my students and their families. My path to teaching is untraditional, as I spent fifteen years at home with my children before returning to work. My degree is in Sociology, which lends itself well to education, as it has enabled me to view education with an eye toward motivation, equity, and collaboration. 2025-2026 will be my seventh year working at Garcia Middle School and my fifth year teaching ELA. I love teaching and work hard to develop positive relationships with my students.

I have professional experience as a newspaper writer and editor, in the accounting department of a mortgage company, as a project manager overseeing the digitizing of media, and as a teacher. In my free time, I enjoy watching Astros baseball, working on creative projects, reading, and traveling.
