Hello Husky Parents! My name is Karen Lazcano, and I am excited to be your child's Kindergarten teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. This will be my seventh year teaching at Madden Elementary. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Teaching and Learning in 2019 from The University of Houston. I received my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on Reading, Language Arts, and Reading Education, also from UH. I am certified to teach English as a Second Language as well as Gifted and Talented students. When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and crafting! I look forward to sharing my love of learning with your Husky and cannot wait to make this a great school year!
