Hello and welcome! My name is Ms. Hazelwood, and I’m so excited to be part of your child’s educational journey this year. I was born and raised in Houston, Texas, and in 2014, I earned my Bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in Business Management. Ever since first grade, I’ve known I wanted to be a teacher—it’s been a lifelong dream of mine, and I feel incredibly grateful to be living it every day. I always encourage my students to chase their own dreams with confidence and perseverance.

Outside the classroom, I’m a proud mom of two. My son is 24, and my daughter is currently a tenth grader at Austin High School. Our home is full of energy thanks to our indoor rabbit and our three lovable cats. Family means everything to me, and they are a huge part of who I am.

When I’m not teaching or spending time with my family, you’ll often find me writing or geeking out over all things Marvel—especially Spider-Man! Writing has always been one of my greatest passions, and I love sharing that enthusiasm with my students.
