• Fort Bend ISD curriculum department gives two district wide learning assessments during the school year, one in the fall and one in the spring, for all core content subject areas. The purpose of these assessments is to evaluate the progress of student learning. These are assessments are rubric based, meaning the questions are not multiple choice answers. Instead students will need to show their learning in a variety of ways, including providing justification on how they solved the problem, arrived at an answer, providing supporting evidence from reading/writing prompts, and justifying their response based on information given or what they have learned in the classroom. Below is a calendar of when these learning assessment will take place. Although there is a 3 day window in which a teacher may give the district learning assessment, these assessments are designed to be completed during a single class period.
