Yes, my last name is pronounced just like cheddar cheese!

This year, I will be supporting students with last names beginning with Martinez-P. Originally from South Dakota, I often miss the stunning Black Hills, but I truly love calling Texas home.

I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of South Dakota and completed my Master’s in School Counseling at their rival, South Dakota State University. This is my 22nd year in education, my seventh year with FBISD, and my third year at Ridge Point High School. I’m passionate about helping students find their voice and develop a plan for success throughout high school and beyond.

In my free time, I enjoy taking my Boxer to the dog park, cheering on the Astros and Texans, and relaxing at the beach.
