• Big Words for Little Kids

    This is a book of daily exercise sheets using common affixes (roots, prefixes, suffixes). I use it in my class almost every week, to provide exposure, practice and generalization for these and other affixes. This is a "Teach me to fish.." kind of thing - if my students learn the meaning of a particular affix, they can then generalize it to infinite numbers of new words. In this way, their vocabulary grows and expands every day!
