Mrs. Karen DiMare

It is my pleasure to teach at First Colony Middle School. I have been teaching for 22 years in the Texas public school system. I taught middle school ELA for seven years in Spring Branch ISD after graduating from Southwest Texas State University. Additionally, I have worked in a Pre-K setting teaching and developing young minds. I came back to the classroom after raising my children. I have been at First Colony Middle School for fifteen years and I have taught 6th, 7th and 8th grade Basic ELA as well as a co-teacher in all grade levels. The last 3 years, I have been a SAILS teacher and I deeply love working in a self-contained classroom. It has been rewarding to watch my students learn and grow. I am so thrilled to teach SAILS this current school year. Outside of school, I enjoy gardening, shopping, attending music venues and spending time with family and friends.
