Ebony Black is in her eleventh year with Fort Bend Independent School District (FBISD). A proud product of FBISD, Ms. Black began her journey as a thespian after her own days as a student at Christa McAuliffe Middle School and Willowridge High School. Her passion for theatre has taken her across the country, including to the heart of Broadway and notable off-Broadway productions in New York City.

Ms. Black returned to FBISD in 2015 as a Theatre Director, eager to share her extensive knowledge and love of the craft. Through class participation, competitions, and productions, she fosters student growth, helping them build confidence and self-esteem as they explore the world through theatre. She is deeply grateful for the opportunity to witness her students’ development and performances, ranging from 6th to 8th grade. Thrilled to be a Cougar, Ms. Black looks forward to an exciting and successful school year. 

She holds a M.A. from Texas Tech and a Bachelors of Arts from Texas Southern University.
