HOSA (Future Health Professionals) is an international student-led career and technical organization (CTSO) dedicated to preparing future leaders for careers in the health and medical fields. Through hands-on learning, leadership development, and competitive events, HOSA empowers students to strengthen their skills, build professional networks, and explore a wide variety of health-related careers.

We are actively recruiting professionals to serve as judges for the competitive events portion of the Area 2 Spring Leadership Conference. These events are designed to motivate HOSA members to achieve a high standard of excellence in a variety of leadership and skill disciplines.
HOSA: Future Health Professionals is an international organization for middle school, high school, and post-secondary/collegiate students who have an interest in pursuing a career in health care. Through the leadership and competitive events programs, students can develop their knowledge, skills, and network with healthcare professionals.
Conference dates: January 23, 2026, from 4:30 pm to 10:30 pm
January 24, 2026, from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm
Conference location: William B. Travis High School - 11111 Harlem Rd, Richmond, TX 77406
The estimated time commitment is about 5 hours per day, and a light meal will be served. All judges will receive an orientation prior to their judging assignment.
Skill Events will need judges with a background & knowledge relevant to the skills required for each event. EX: Dental Science, Clinical Nursing – Nursing Knowledge, Clinical Lab, Pharmacy, Phlebotomy, Sports Medicine, Physical Therapy, EMT, Medical Asst, Nursing Asst, CPR etc…
Judges for Debate, Parliamentary Procedures, CERT & MRC, and Forensics need specialized knowledge to judge these events.
