  • REMEDIAL SUMMER SCHOOL REGISTRATION

    **This message is going out to all parents and students. THIS DOES NOT MEAN SUMMER SCHOOL IS NEEDED. Please check Skyward to determine if summer school is needed. ***

     Remedial Summer School Registration begins May 8th and ends May 30th

     Registration for all courses is on a first-come, first-served basis and will depend on availability. 

    WHEN:  Session 1  June 9 - June 26  (Semester 1 Failed classes only from Aug-Dec)

                  Session 2  July 7 - July 24  (Semester 2 Failed Spring classes only from Jan-May)

    WHERE: Austin High School

    TIME:     Monday – Thursday 7:30 AM- 1:00 PM (ALL IN PERSON)

    FEES:     $200/course; $125 reduced lunch; $100 free lunch

    Payment must be made by May 30th via Skyward/RevTrak.

    Breakfast, Lunch, & Transportation will be provided. Bus schedules will be posted on the FBISD Website. Please select YES on the registration form if transportation is needed. 

         ***Please complete the attached SUMMER SCHOOL REGISTRATION FORM and return it to the Counselors’ Suite. There is also an option to email the completed form to the student’s Counselor. Forms are also available in the Counselors’ Suite, during lunch in the Commons, and from any Assistant Principal. Also attached are instructions on how to pay for summer school.

       SPACES ARE LIMITED!!!! DEADLINE MAY 30th!

    ***Please note final grades are not posted until May 30th. Please check your student’s Skyward account to verify if the student passed the class that you may have previously registered before attending summer school. If they passed the class, they will no longer need to attend summer school. Check the columns labeled S1 and S2 in Skyward (Semester 1 & Semester 2) to verify passing status.

        Also check the FINAL GRADE COLUMN.  If the FINAL GRADE COLUMN is passing with a 70 or higher, but the student failed S1 or S2, then they DO NOT need to attend summer school. If a student's S1 and S2 column totals 140 points, then they will be "AVERAGE GRADE." This means that the student approves the class throughout the year. Example: S1 grade =68 (fail), Grade S2 =72 (pass)/ 68+72=140 points. The student will not have to attend the summer school for S1.
