B.A. Communication Studies from Texas State University EC-12 Special Education

Mr. Mark Mireles

Hello! I’m Mark Mireles, proud Special Education teacher at James Reese Career and Technical Center. As we begin the 2025-2026 school year, I’m excited to mark my fourth year with Fort Bend ISD and my seventh overall in secondary education. My teaching journey began in Houston ISD, where I spent three years co-teaching English III and IV, working closely with diverse learners.

Before stepping into the classroom, I dedicated 15 years to the dynamic world of sales and retail, building skills in communication, adaptability, and teamwork that I now bring to my students every day. I’m passionate about high school education and believe in empowering students to confidently embrace their next chapters—whether that’s college, a career, or wherever their dreams take them. Currently, I collaborate with students, providing inclusion support and co-teaching Geometry.

As part of my commitment to growth, I am currently pursuing my Master’s degree to further expand my expertise and support my students more effectively.

On the personal side, I call Fresno, TX home, where I live with my wonderful wife and our two spirited Chihuahuas. I’m a lifelong Houston Astros/Sugar Land Space Cowboys fan, and love spending my downtime reading, grilling classic Texas BBQ, and most recently getting back in shape at the gym.

I look forward to another fantastic year, supporting and guiding our students at James Reese CTC!
