    Professional school counselors are available at Kempner High School to provide a comprehensive developmental guidance program and services for all students in the areas of:

    Guidance curriculum: To help students develop competence in essential life skills
    Responsive services: Provide intervention for immediate personal/social/emotional concerns
    Individual planning: Guide to help students plan, monitor, and manage their personal, educational, and career goals, and facilitate transition activities for post-secondary education and/or training
    System support: Support campus staff, parents, and the community to promote the educational, career, personal, and social development of students, as well as the Developmental Guidance Program

    • You have two classes scheduled during the same period, or you are enrolled in the same course more than once.
    • You are currently enrolled in a course for which you have already earned credit.

    📍 Enter through the back entrance by the gymnasium
    Students will:
    ✔️ Pick up class schedules
    ✔️ Receive locker assignments
    ✔️ Obtain parking permits (eligible students only)
    ✔️ Update passwords and ensure access to district systems
    ✔️ Complete lunch applications
    ✔️ Set up parent access to Skyward Q
    ✔️ Ask questions and prepare for the first day

    Class of 2029 – Cub Camp (Incoming 9th Graders)

    🕘 Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
    📍 Enter through the back entrance by the gymnasium

    Incoming 9th graders and their parents/guardians are invited to attend this special orientation event. During Cub Camp, students and families can:
    ✔️ Pick up class schedules
    ✔️ Receive locker assignments
    ✔️ Tour the campus
    ✔️ Explore clubs and student organizations
    ✔️ Meet teachers and staff
    ✔️ Learn about high school expectations and daily routines

    This is a great opportunity to get comfortable on campus and make connections before the first day of school!

    Cougar Kick-Off Community Event

    Join us for a community-wide celebration to kick off the school year! Come meet our athletic teams, fine arts programs, and student leaders at this spirited pep rally. All students, families, and community members are welcome.
