    Lawrence E. Elkins High School opened in the fall of 1992 as the sixth high school in Fort Bend ISD. The school was named after Lawrence E. Elkins, a former teacher, coach, administrator, and superintendent in FBISD from 1949-1984.

    Lawrence E. Elkins High School was named a 2001-2002 National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education. Other notable accomplishments at the “Castle of Champions” have included two UIL State Academic Championships, three State Baseball Championships, one State Softball Championship, one State Golf Championship, an "A" rated public school by TEA, and numerous district championships in academics, athletics, and fine arts.

    Today, Lawrence E. Elkins High School serves 2,400 students from Fort Settlement Middle School, First Colony Middle School, Quail Valley Middle School, and Lake Olympia Middle School. Former students have gone on to become physicians, scientists, authors, actors, lawyers, entertainers, entrepreneurs, professional athletes, and one was a former Miss USA. Currently, the amazing Lawrence E. Elkins High School staff are filled with proud graduates who serve our community as Noble Knights!
