Mr. Andrew Newhouse
Andrew Newhouse has been an educator in both primary and secondary schools for the last 20 years. He has taught at Fort Settlement Middle School for the last six (6) years. His passion is teaching Social Studies and imparting exciting knowledge of history, with enthusiasm to his students. Mr. Newhouse has taught in Houston, San Antonio, and London, England: teaching in two traditional public schools, a GT magnet school, a charter, as well as in the United Kingdom at both a Church of England school and a local-authority run school.
Prior to teaching, for seven (7) years Mr. Newhouse was a Business Development Manager for Hitachi Zosen, a Japanese shipbuilder and heavy industrial equipment manufacturer. He has enjoyed traveling throughout the United States (48 states & counting), Canada, Central America, Australia, Brazil, Europe, and Japan.
Mr. Newhouse graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and a minor in Latin American Studies.
He has high expectations for his students and believes in their unlimited potential and enjoys teaching at Fort Settlement Middle School.
