A public-service pathway that prepares students to act confidently in emergencies and understand public-safety careers. Curriculum includes fire science basics, medical response (CPR/first aid), emergency communications, and disaster response. Students participate in simulations, partner with local first-responder agencies, and complete progressive certification experiences appropriate for middle grade levels.

Experiences: Tactical Simulation Lab (Scenario-Based Training), Dispatch and Communications Exercise, Certified CPR and Basic Life Support Clinic, Station Residency and Partner Immersion, Emergency Management and Incident Command Tabletop, Junior EMT Simulation and Medical Skills Pathway, Resilience, Mental Health and Behavioral First Aid.

Attendance
- 90% or better, including both excused and unexcused absences for the previous academic years
Academic
- Passing all classes from the previous academic school year
- Must provide a current report card
- STAAR - must be at Approaches, Meets, or Masters level
Discipline
- No more than 5 days of ISS and/or OSS
- No disciplinary alternative education (DAEP) placement
- No juvenile justice alternative education (JJAEP) placement
- No arrest, charge, or conviction of a criminal offense
- No current probation or other conditional release
Siblings
- Siblings of current transfer students must apply to be considered for enrollment (same criteria applies)
Employees
- Must submit a completed Choice Program application by the deadline, where applicable
Revocation
- Violation of the rules and policies as contained in the FBISD Student Code of Conduct, poor academic performance, repeated incidences of tardiness, or poor performance
