Gifted and Talented at Cornerstone Elementary

  • Identified students in grades K-5 are cluster grouped with GT-trained teachers in the core subject areas of English language arts, social studies, science, and mathematics.  Program services for identified Kindergarten students begin March 1 as mandated by the state. 

    Innovation Hour

    We are very pleased to be an Innovation Hour campus for the 2023-2024 school year. All GT-identified 2nd - 5th grade students will participate in Innovation Hour during intervention and enrichment time in the school schedule. Parents of identified students have received a detailed parent guide to assist them in understanding this program.

District-Wide GT Announcements

  • The Fall GT Referral Window is now open.  Parents may refer their child through the GT App with the student's FBISD ID number.  The deadline for referral is September 30, 2025.

    The GT Department is aware that the GT App referral portal is experiencing technical issues.  Please be patient as we work through this issue with our technology team.
