I am Mrs. Haider , Science teacher at Progressive High School. I moved to New Orleans in 1984 after I got married. I have a bachelor's degree in Chemistry from my native country and worked as a Chemist for several years. I always had a passion for teaching, and I love science. My family moved to Houston in 2005  after Katrina hit New Orleans. I t was a start to a new phase of our life.I went back to school in 2008 and graduated from University of Houston Victoria in 2011 with a bachelor's in Biology and a certificate in composite science. I started to work as a teacher after graduation. This is my third year at Progressive High School. I am incredibly excited about teaching science and sharing my passion for life-long learning with my students. I love diversity and enjoy building relationships with various ethnicities and backgrounds.

My husband and I both have degrees in science. I am a mother of two handsome young men. I enjoy spending time with my family, travelling and dining out. I love to decorate my house and read books in my spare time.
