Hi there! My name is John Cantu, and I teach 8th Grade U.S. History here at Crockett Middle School. I also serve as the 8th Grade Social Studies Department Head. This is my ninth year at Crockett, and I’m just as excited as ever to help students explore the incredible stories that shaped our country.

I’m originally from Houston, Texas, and I’m a proud Fort Bend ISD graduate—Go Canes! I earned my degree in Technical Management with a minor in Criminal Justice, but history has always been my true passion.

As department head, I work with a great team of teachers to make history engaging and meaningful for all our students. I’m looking forward to another fun and successful year of learning, growing, and making history together!
