I am so pleased to be the librarian here at Christa McAuliffe Middle School. I have been working in public education for more than 25 years! I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from Prairie View A&M University and a Master's Degree in Library Science from Sam Houston State University. I was a classroom teacher for 18 years before becoming a librarian.  I absolutely LOVE to read!  My favorite book in elementary school was "Roll of Thunder Hear my Cry" by Mildred D. Taylor. That is the book that sparked my passion for reading. I believe that all children should have access to literature that allows them to see themselves, imagine, and learn more about the world around them.  My goal is to cultivate a passion for literacy and innovative thinking will be contagious.  Hope to see you in the library!
